Once upon a time, there was a school teacher who had the crazy notion that she could take a post one picture for each day of the 2010 year. My only excuse is life. That’s right, life happened. I’ve got many of the photos but, sadly, not all. It seems that with starting the Inspirations Photography website, teaching full time, trying to keep Mr. Wonderful’s tummy full and chasing, either figuratively or literally after Things 1, 2 and 3, I have simply run out of time in my life. Now that I have openly admitted my shortcomings to all of you I can simply move on, post and comment about the pictures I’ve taken and not have to keep track of what day each picture is for. Somehow, I think this may put a little more fun back into the P365 initiative for me:) Sorry for letting you down and leaving you photo-less for so long. Will you ever forgive me? A stunning sunset I snapped while doing senior pictures one evening. Straight out of the camera!

We had our State Fair, Thing 1 went back to start her final year of college, she’ll be student teaching this fall. Thing 2 drove all the way back to California for college, and Thing 3 started her senior year of high school. School for me has been good, but busy. Day 226 through 237. Wow, I can tell that the school year has begun. I apologize for being so horribly far behind on posting Project 365 photos. Can you ever forgive me? Before I get swamped with something else, I’m going to get these photos posted! Day 226~August 16, 2010 Jalapenos from our garden.

July 16 – 21, 2010 Project 365 Day 195 – July 16, 2010 I’ve been busy in the garden and kitchen. Pea pods and green beans are ripening and ready for picking and processing daily. Here are just some of the freshly washed pea pods ready to be blanched and frozen.
Day 196 It was horribly HOT and HUMID here today! I emptied and refilled the boys’ water buckets. No sooner had I gone back in the house, I looked out the window and saw Dexter had managed to get part of himself in his water bucket. My challenge was to get a picture of him before my camera lens fogged up or Dexter got out.
Day 197 We’ve had lots of stormy looking skies, but no real rain to speak of for about two weeks.
Day 198 My second batch of sweet corn had a huge growth spurt over the last 7 to 10 days. It’s now well over 8 feet, tasseled and just starting to silk.
Day 199 My Okra is starting to bloom and we’ll be eating fried Okra very soon!
Day 200 Can you believe there are only 165 days remaining of the 2010 Project 365 challenge? This is a morning shot of our garden.
July 9 through July 15, 2010 Days 188 – 194 Day 188 I have several varieties of Day Lilies in my perennial beds. This is one of my favorites.
