Welcome to Ag Leadership for the 2011-12 school year at West Central High School!
This year we’ll be doing some things the same and some things a bit differently! The course will still be self directed to some respect, however there will be expectations and requirements for the class. We’ll continue to blog and research agricultural topics, plan projects and activities, edit the monthly newsletter and prepare news items for the wcffa.com website. In short, we’ll be doing some reading, writing, blogging and lots of speaking.
When I say “self directed” that means that I, your teacher and advisor, will give you choices of tasks to complete or work on. You chose something, and, do it. This does not mean that you will chose to spend the bulk of your time off-task and then as deadlines approach you either – a. do a hurry up job and turn in sub standard work; or, b. you panic and try to make a deal because you have wasted your time in class.
You will need to work hard to earn an A in this class!
We’ll use this site for prompts for blog reaction statements as well as links for current events in American Agriculture. All content for this course will be made available through this website. If you ever have questions, suggestions or ideas, please let Mrs. Petersen know!
