Flooding of the Big Sioux

The Big Sioux River rose over its banks after as many as 10 inches of rain in 36 hours.  Thing 3, Mr. Wonderful and I took a brief tour of some of the flooding recently.

Once the fog cleared the reflection of the sky and the fall colors on the flood waters were a shot I could not pass up.

The fog beginning to lift as Thing 3 checks out the flooding at Midway.

At a different location, friends of our, produce growers, faced with harvesting floating pumpkins. You can just see orange blips against the white fence.  Click here to watch how he finally chose to harvest them.
